A 7659m2 site at 86 Delamere Avenue, Currambine has been acquired by Multi-National Supermarket chain, Aldi Foods. The off market transaction was successfully negotiated by Anthony Morabito, Director-Metropolitan Markets at Altegra Property Group and Morgan O’Shea from Aldi.
The sales process ran from Dec 2014 to Sept 2016, and the site will be developed and occupied by its new owner, Aldi Foods.
The new Aldi Currambine site sits just a short distance west of a Joondalup CBD and Mitchell Freeway, within a rapidly evolving Currambine Retail and Commercial precinct that is already home to tenants such as Woolworth’s, Grand Cinema’s, Dan Murphy’s, Farmer Jacks and Dome. The site is situated 3 minutes from the beach, with frequent public transport for easy convenience.
“After a successful sales and leasing campaign at stage one of Currambine District Centre, the owners of 86 Delamere Avenue approached Altegra Property Group to find a suitable buyer as they they wanted to identify an investor that would complement the first stage of their successful development.”
“Having developed a relationship with Aldi Foods, Altegra was aware that Aldi were actively seeking opportunities in the metropolitan marketplace, so we engaged with them on this site and there was immediate and strong interest from Aldi in securing this location for one of their supermarkets”, says Morabito.
The upcoming development of the site will offer further amenity to residents in nearby suburbs of Curambine, Connolly, Iluka, Burns Beach and Ocean Reef.
